Habertürk Home
Page Redesign

Habertürk is a Turkish news outlet under Ciner Media Group, offering TV, print, and online coverage of politics, economy, sports, and current events with a fast, modern style.

The Goal

This project aims to redesign HaberTürk's home page, enhancing its clarity and intuitiveness. By prioritizing key components and optimizing user experience, I seek to create a more engaging and informative platform.

The Challenge

The redesign was tricky because I had to make it blend seamlessly with the rest of the website while still giving it a fresh look. On top of that, I needed to keep the same user experience so people who were used to the original design wouldn’t feel lost or confused.

Current Page

Problems

This homepage is cluttered with dense content, inconsistent layouts, and competing visuals, making it hard for users to focus. Weak hierarchy between sections and varying thumbnail sizes reduce readability, while excessive ads and high-contrast elements disrupt the flow. Limited navigation forces users to scroll through overwhelming information to find what they need.

The Redesign

Solution

The redesign improves clarity by organizing content into well-defined sections with consistent thumbnail sizes and spacing, reducing visual clutter. A more prominent and structured navigation bar allows quicker access to categories, while balanced white space between elements improves readability. Clearer hierarchy in headlines and the use of section headers help guide the user’s eye naturally, making it easier to scan and locate relevant stories without feeling overwhelmed.

The Result

The redesign improves navigation, clarity, and organization for a better user experience. A more intuitive menu enhances content discoverability, while “Latest News” and “Most Read” sections keep users engaged. Cleaned-up image layouts with subheadings aid browsing, and a reorganized footer delivers a sleek, user-friendly finish.

Weak Section Separation

Headlines and sections blend together, making it harder to distinguish priority content.
